Update from Mrs Puddephatt (half term October 2020)
In geography, we have been learning about volcanoes. We started off by making a plasticine model to show the layers of the earth – the core, mantle and the crust.
We have done lots of practical work in science. The photographs show us discovering what soil consists of and testing the permeability of different soils. We also designed a machine (using every day kitchen equipment) to crush rocks from Mars (which looked just like digestive biscuits).
We have been learning how to mix secondary and tertiary colours. We also made use of the good weather and worked outside!
