Our new season started off well with our netball team attending a festival held at Stanborough School. Mrs Claridge was very proud of all of the girls as they improved steadily throughout the games they played and demonstrated great team spirit encouraging each other and cheering on good play!
Some of Year 4 recently took part in a tag rugby festival at Welwyn Rugby Club. They all seemed to enjoy the activities.
Cross Country / Fun Run
Some of the Year 5 children are taking part in the Fun Run finals at Stanborough Lakes this month. Good luck to those taking part!
Some of the Year 5 & 6 children took part in the district cross country event at Queenswood recently and Panshanger Primary School came 4th out of the 13 schools that took part. We were the only one form entry school in the top 4 placings which makes it more of a fantastic result.
For the children in years 5 & 6 Thursday has been called the best day of the week – this is trampoline day! They spend a half hour session working in small groups on the full size trampolines, completing a series of skills and playing games. Some of the Year 6 children are working on Award 8 – showing a very high skill set!
There is also an afterschool club on a Thursday which is proving to be very popular!
We currently have A-Z Basketball teachers in school to give Year 6 children lessons within their PE curriculum. The children are enjoying learning a new sport. There is also an afterschool club for children in Years 5 & 6 running on a Friday.
