This half term, Year 2 have had a busy time learning at home and for the last three weeks back in the classroom. We have been reading the book ‘That Rabbit Belongs to Emily Brown’ by Cressida Cowell. We have really enjoyed retelling this story using a story map and having a go at drawing our own story maps. Finally, we wrote our own versions of the Emily Brown story.
In DT, we have been learning about ingredients and how to prepare them to make different dishes. We have also been thinking about what makes a snack healthy and designing our own fruit face snacks. We had lots of fun making them and eating them!
We have also had lots of fun while raising money for charity. We had a great day dressing up, writing riddles and making red noses for Comic Relief and made some amazing origami hats on Wear a Hat day for Brain Tumour Awareness.
