This half term we have been learning about the Great Fire of London. We have found out about what happened and what life was like in 1666. We completed a history detective activity to find proof through looking at different sources including newspapers, diaries and paintings. We also sequenced the events and told the story of the fire in our dance lessons. Finally we planned our own visions for rebuilding London.
This term our PSHE has focused on working together to achieve success. We were set different challenges by Jigsaw Jo such as learning to count to ten in Mandarin and learning to dance the Macarena. Our final challenge was to work together in groups to create a dream bird.
We had a special session learning first aid skills. We learnt about what to look for when someone was hurt and how to put someone in the recovery position. We also learnt about CPR and practiced on the CPR dummies.
During Feeling Good Week we had lots of fun making chocolate cornflake cakes, sewing glove puppets and using the apparatus in the hall. Lots of children also performed their talents in front of the whole school at our talent show.
