Year 3 summer term

This half-term our science work has been about light.  We enjoyed investigating how to make shadows and finding out which materials reflect light.  Our potato plants have grown really tall.  They should be ready to harvest soon!

In geography, we have been learning about the three different regions of Peru and we used our art skills to make some Inca masks and some llamas.   We now know the difference between llamas and alpacas!

For DT, we designed and made sandwiches and then had a lunchtime picnic. We even had sunny weather!

Everyone enjoyed the ‘Spirit of the Wild’ animal workshop.  Some children were very brave as you can see in the photos! We learnt a lot of new facts and everyone got to touch some of the animals.

On the last day of the half-term, we had a mini talent show in class.  What fantastic dancing, singing, magic tricks and instrument playing! Our judges gave lovely comments too.  Well done everyone!
