Welcome to Panshanger Primary School
A huge well done to our current Year 6 class. The children have completed SAT week, with confidence and assurance and we are so proud of them.
‘These tests only assess one part of your education – they do not assess you as a person. They do not test the things that make you the caring, kind individual who is a good friend to others, a great buddy leader and a brilliant role model for the younger children. They do not test how you have grown this year into stronger and better people developing the skills that you will need in secondary school and more importantly when you are an adult. The people who create these tests cannot create a test that does that, and they do not know you as a person and how you have developed and grown during your time at Panshanger and especially during this last year – your final one at primary school.’
Year 6 celebrated at the end of the week – joining the Nursery children who had a week of outdoor learning.
After the May half term, we will be working alongside Rising Stars to offer after school activities for the children allowing more wrap round care. The booking system is live should you want a place for your child. If you would like more information, please see the company website https://risingstars-wraparound.co.uk/
It is with great sadness that we commemorate the work of Mike Larkins (our late Chair of Govs.) who died over Christmas 2021.
Mike was a governor at Panshanger for over 20 years, he took his role very seriously and was fully involved in the everyday life of the school. He will be sadly missed by the whole school community and the residents of Daniells, where he was regularly seen walking his dog.
