Jade green sweatshirts, cardigans and navy polo shirts are available to order online or in the shop – these are logoed items.
Items such as navy trousers, navy skirts, blue or green checked dresses can be purchased from local supermarkets at a reasonable price. Uniform is not compulsory in the nursery class but many parents find that dressing their children in school uniform is both smart and practical.
Children in all classes, need a pair of indoor shoes. Simple black plimsolls are inexpensive and ideal, they can be made easily recognisable by the application of some art work with fabric crayons.
For outdoor wear, trainers are recommended as they provide good support when the children are running, jumping or climbing in the playground. If other shoes are worn, they should enclose the foot properly and have flat heels (no sandals).
Please make sure that all your child’s clothes are clearly labelled and remember to check this regularly as pen can wash out.
The children are also required to have a book bag in school everyday. The school office stocks two different sizes of bags which are both navy in colour with an adjustable shoulder strap. The school also stocks P.E. bags and swimming hats.
PE
The children are expected to have a PE kit in school every day. This is made up of trainers and navy shorts for inside PE and for outside PE they should have a pair of jogging bottoms and a warm top to wear. On entry to the school the children are placed in a PE House team – these are made up of different colours e.g. red / purple / blue etc. Their PE ‘T shirt’ matches their team – these shirts can be bought inexpensively from many online stockists.
Jewellery
Children should not wear jewellery in school and no responsibility will be taken for watches or other articles of value brought into school. If your child has pierced ears, please ensure that only studs are worn, and then only if necessary. Children will be required to remove studs for P.E. or cover them with sticky plasters provided from home.
